With over 30 years of experience in designing and constructing beautiful landscapes and swimming pools, Dave Franklin is one of Australia’s best-known and loved landscape designers. Dave has been working in the industry since the young age of 15 where he was a brick layer – admiring the work of landscapers he realized his passion for designing spaces. Shortly after, he became a professional landscaper himself and by the age of 21, was a business partner of ‘Exquisite Gardens Australia’. He and his business partner were keen surfers, they worked hard and long hours together saving up to travel to their favourite surfing beaches around the world, living their life to the fullest.
Dave’s work in landscaping started to pay off when his designs were recognized by influential Melbourne homeowners – his business expanded into large properties where he was able to create grand spaces for clients and build the business from positive word-of-mouth.
In 2010, Dave founded his own company, The Franklin Group, and became a multi-award-winning landscaper winning over 20 titles combined in his career to date. The Franklin Group has since grown and is now an all encompassing firm which provides design, landscape and pool design and construction services. The Franklin Group is a personalized and tailored service to a high-end market and is proudly, one of Victoria’s leading boutique landscape design firms.
Dave’s work has been showcased on top-rating national television shows on Channel NINE over the years. Dave regularly features on The Block where he has been the resident Landscaper for the past 9 years. He also presents on Open Homes Australia which is into it's fifth season, where his projects are featured each week. Dave thrives in an environment where he can take creative freedom over his work with such shows allowing him to do that, showing Australia just what he’s capable of.
